Gangster Squad

Watched the Gangster Squad last night.

Los Angeles, 1949: A secret crew of police officers led by two determined sergeants work together in an effort to take down the ruthless mob king Mickey Cohen who runs the city.

IMDb rate it 6.8 which I reckon is about right. Easy enough to watch (few bits of unnecessary torture scenes that didn’t add anything and sort of stood out for being against he general flavour of the film) it was a good old fashioned good guys v bad guys with a handful of well acted parts.

Some humour in places, it had the feel of a good old fashioned simple film.
