Happy first birthday to our second rescue Galgo, Tigra.
In posting this I have noticed that I haven’t even added details of our first rescue Galgo, Teo. In fact the whole blog needs an overhaul, and for me to start writing again. I will get round to that in due course …
So Tigra is officially one year old today. It is impossible to be exact with most rescue dogs (and cats) especially when they have such a tough start to life as little Tigra: locked in a shed for the first months of her life and virtually starved to death, then thrown over the wall of a refuge, and eventually taken in my Charlotte where we sponsored her before adopting her.
Initially the vet thought she was two, but when she needed surgery on a broken leg he revised his opinion to 9 months.
Officially she is one today. I have the tattoo to prove it!!!
She will spend the day doing exactly what she has done since the day she moved in with us: playing with Teo, running on the beach, eating healthy food, trying to play with the cats but being shown who is the boss, sleeping on the sofa, and …….. being loved.
I will write more and update the blog with information on her and Teo in due course but while she enjoys her first birthday here are a few photos from the current day back to her first days with us.
