I have just set up a AppleTV in Sands room, connected to her 32″ Samsung flatscreen HDTV.
I have written before about why I don’t need a AppleTV so this is a bit of a turnaround. Our set up remains as previously explained but having now ripped all our DVD’s to hard drive in AppleTV format it sort of made sense to test out the AppleTV.
Of course that meant getting the 160GB one as I have no desire to stream film content over the network when I want to watch it – wireless or ethernet!

Our apartment backs onto a cliff and ever since we moved in there have been Rock Doves flying around. Nineteen months ago Pedro entered our lives when he decided to make the small window balcony at the side of our kitchen his home. Unfortunately at the time it was the home to two mating doves, one a Rock Dove and one a Stock Dove. Not to be put off Pedro managed over time to see off both the parents and raise the two squabs.

Following on from the Leopard Experiences Gary suggested that we pool our experiences and share any issues that we have come across or know about with Leopard and specific applications.
Here’s a thought for you. How about a post which asks your community about which applications they’ve found problems with under Leopard? Which ones will definitely require an update because they no longer work, and which ones, like Lightroom, work to an extent (and what fails)?
In particular applications that will require and upgrade, and applications that you want to know about first before upgrading.

So having run 20km for the first time in my entire life, what is next?
I don’t have any inclination to ‘train on’ for a Marathon, but I sort of like the idea of been able to do a half marathon or 10m ‘race’ at some stage in the future. For that to happen though I need to ensure that I remain fit, as getting fit is no fun at all, and as I get older it will just get harder and harder!!

If like me you rely heavily on Adobe on a day to day basis you will probably be slightly concerned that they haven’t got their act together fully with Leopard yet – but considering how long it took them to be Intel compatible they are doing much better if this information is correct:
Adobe have commented on its compatibility with Leopard, “most, but not all of its applications are compatible with Leopard without the need for an update.”
Applications that are compatible are:
- Adobe Photoshop CS3

I have been thinking of getting a Wii for some time now and was wondering if anyone had any experience of one, and what games you would suggest.
They are pretty easy to get hold of here in Spain, but I may try and pick one up when I am in the UK. It will be a lot easier to discuss any games and accessories that way.

Another quick ‘heads up’ (horrible American phrase that is is!!).
I will be in the UK on the 6th and 7th of November doing some consultancy. I will be around Aylesbury on the evening of the 6th and although I am meant to be having a dinner if you are in the area let me know and we can try and meet up.
On the 7th I will be in the Haywards Heath area with Danny and Darren, so if you are around let me know.

I wanted to give you a ‘heads up’ on the fact that I am working with Tom on some modifications to the site. The reason for the update is two fold:
- A few things may appear, disappear, move etc. in the next week or so
- I would be interested in any suggestions that you want to contribute
I wont be changing the theme or the overall style of the blog. I will be streamlining it, and creating more space for content.

This is the first of the features that I will be writing as part of the DEVONtechnologies sponsorship of my segment on The MacReviewCast.
Don’t forget that as a listener to the show, or a reader of this blog you can get 25% off any of their products – just look out for the link in the sidebar.
Just to be clear this is a feature not a review. As I have in effect been paid for this I am not giving you my opinion or the application a rating. I am giving you the information on the application so that you can make up your own mind.

Week 8 and it is Leopard day, so who better to hear from than Paul Stamatiou, who will be standing lin line later hoping to get a T-shirt!
1. As this blog covers a lot of Mac related products what was your first Apple product that you bought?

My name is Chris. I am addicted to bags, cases and all type of accessories!
There is no getting away from it. I have more ways of carrying stuff than I would even dare to start counting, but I have never actually had something that I could wrap a notebook in. Well until now that is!
I recently got my eager little mitts on a Oktavius Oliv Lptop Case (18,90€) from 10TURIO. It has an intriguing design, basically wrapping itself around your Mac Book (or 15″ Mac Book Pro).

Time for a bit of fun and some reader participation, and let’s see if this time we can add a few more of you to the ‘usual crowd’. Don’t be shy, shout out your views and join the fun.
What I want to know is what feature of Leopard are you most looking forward to based on what you have read, heard and seen to date AND as importantly once you have had the opportunity to use Leopard how does that feature match up to your expectation and has it been superseded by any other features?
