Never judge a book by its cover is a very old saying, that still holds good but has gone out of the window a little since they started publishing books with more attractive images on – admit it! Who hasn’t bought a book (and enjoyed it) based on the cover alone?
I was guilty of this recently when I got the opportunity to review PhoneView ($19.95) from the excellent ecamm. Anyone that knows me will know that ever since I got an iPhone I have been extremely disappointed with the fact that it didn’t sync with notes, so I got somewhat excited when I saw this:

This is probably very embarrassing, but I have never played poker in my entire life! The closest that I have got is a Poker run or two with the Harley guys back in the UK, and the odd game of Poker Dice with my mates here in Spain where I have relied on a combination of luck and alcohol!

Sixteen per cent of workers across the world are “hyperconnected” – using a minimum of seven devices for work and personal access plus at least nine applications like IM, text messaging, web conferencing and social networks, according to a recent study.
I didn’t know ‘hyperconected’ was a word until I read this article in Macworld, never mind that I was a ‘hyperconnected’ person. In fact so is Sands which I am sure will come as a surprise to here when she gets back from the UK.

I am knackered! Well my legs are anyway, and I am so happy about it – honest!!!
Yesterday morning I played my first game of football in about 15 years (discounting one 5 a side game about 8 years ago). It is 7 years to the month that I had my cruciate ligament replaced, so all in all I was somewhat dubious as to how I would play and how I would feel afterwards.

As you know DEVON Technologies have sponsored by segment on the MacReviewCast for over 6 months now, and they have just extended the agreement further. That is one reason why you will see their banner in the Sidebar. The other reason is that they have great products and the 25% discount they are offering readers of the blog is the biggest discount that they offer.
Their extension of the sponsorship coincides with the announcement that they have reintroduced scanning for flatbed and – new! – automatic document feeder (ADF) scanners.

One justification reason for going down the dual screen route a while back was that it was going to make me more productive. Overall I have to say that this has proved to be the case.

Below is a web comic from xkcd that Tom pointed out to me that really made me laugh, not only because it was funny, but because like so much humour it had such a huge element of truth behind it!
So please, be honest. Take a look at the image below and tell me if it strikes a cord with you!!! As I said it certainly did with me!!

I think it is fair to say that the quantity, quality and direction of the posts on the blog have declined in recent months. That is evidenced by the reduced number of comments, but funnily enough not by any significant reduction in readers or revenues.
It is something that I need to sort out, and in reality I have two choices;
- Call It A Day
- Improve The Quality Of The Blog
