I wanted to say thanks to Jon Scrivens for sending me through the drawing below.

Having an avatar is the ‘current thing’ I guess. Well actually it has been current for so long it is probably old hat by now, but I have never been one to keep up with the latest fashions that closely!!!

I have amended my pictures on Adium, iChat, Twitter and Plurk at the moment to see how I like it in action.

Yep I know that I don’t want one, but it would be churlish to turn down the opportunity to win a new 16GB 3G iPhone just for subscribing to a forum now wouldn’t it!!!!

That is all you have to do over at mactropolis.com. Follow this link to join the forum and get an opportunity to win a 16Gb 3G iPhone, or a 8GB 3G iPhone for the second prize.

All you have to do is sign up to the forum and leave an initial post. If you head over there you will see that I have done just that ….

I seem to have worked my way through a number of books since I last posted on books read. At least one was a recommendation from Gary, one was a book that I picked up at a books sale for the strays here, and the rest are all off Sands shelf!!

A Quite Belief In Angles by RJ Ellory is based on the morbid and depressing subject of child deaths in the deep south of the US back in the ’60’s. At first I was unsure, but over time the main character and the story started to grip me. The ending was very well done as well!

Never say never so I would say that it is 95% unlikely that I will be ordering the new iPhone when it is released on the 11th July.

I have been trying to figure out how best to describe the next generation iPhone and I think the best way to sum it up is as a iceberg. The 80% that you don’t see is simply incredible. The foundation that the iPhone is built on from the OS, to the Accelerator, to the Touch Screen is certainly leading edge, and without doubt the way to go.

I have been using Blogo ($25) for a while now. Actually scrub that!! I have been trying to use Blogo for a while now …………

Let me take you back a bit in time – sort of a blogging Time Machine if you like. I used to be huge user of Mars Edit ($29.95). I loved it. Thought it was the best thing since …… well you get the picture, I thought it did a really good job. Then a couple of things happened – I started using the Mini Posts Plugin on my sites and Mars Edit couldn’t handle this, so I stopped using it. That made me use TextMate ($48.75) to draft and create my posts.
