After my discussions with Tim over the months regards the iPhone and the way Spain approaches technology I thought this was pretty interesting!
To date, only 36 iPhones (Apples fancy mobile phone) have been sold in AlmerÃa. It’s the province in Spain with the least number of units sold. I was going to buy one, but thought… nah, it’s probably rubbish.
I know Chris from Almerimarlife.com has one… so who’s got the other 35? Actually, just found two for sale in AlmerÃa on second hand sites, so that’s only 34 in circulation.

I have reviewed Crossover before and think it it a pretty good application with a number of benefits, certainly enough to warrant getting your hands on a FREE copy today!!!
We are giving away all of our software for free on Tuesday, October 28th, 2008. This is a fully working, fully supported copy of either CrossOver Mac Professional, or CrossOver Linux Professional. No hooks, tricks, timebombs, or gimmicks: it’s the real deal.

One (of many) things that Mac and I found we had in common was a dislike of having our photo taken. Of course this meant we spent most of the week trying to catch sneaky snaps of each other, and it seems the odd good portrait in Macs case …… well I really like it!!!
I have posted all the unedited photos from the trip on Flickr and will be posting some edited ones in due course.
Thanks Mac for the photo!

Dropped Mac at the airport this morning (6.30am!!!) after an excellent week here.
It was great to finally meet him, and I was (and still am) very impressed that he came all the way from Canada. Apart from anything else it was great to have another ‘tech junkie’ to hang out with, as there is absolutely no one here that fits that bill!!!

The person not the computer!!! Mac arrived on Wednesday and we are having a great time. Photos and news in due course. At the moment he is up in El Ejido with Sands so I am doing a few quick posts and some general stuff before we go down to the marina for lunch. Is a brief video from yesterday below:

I recently wrote about the way in which Spain celebrates Halloween over on our Almerimar Life blog and it got me wondering as to how it is celebrated where you live?
In the US I am aware of the trend to hire Halloween costumes that tend to vary from the more ‘mature’ sexy costumes to the amazing Kids costumes that I would have loved to have access to as a kid, and in the UK the trend as with many things is to follow the US.

Wirecast at $449 isn’t exactly cheap, but it comes from a good stable over at Flip4Mac, including one of my favourite applications ScreenFlow.
Wirecast is the most advanced live webcasting product available for your Mac or PC. You can stream multiple live video cameras, while dynamically mixing in other media (movies, images etc). Features such as Chroma Key (blue/green screen) and built-in titles merge seamlessly with Wirecast’s layering system, allowing you to create beautiful, professional webcasts.
