Spain’s first bondage hotel tied up by red tape

Just read on The Telegraph Site that plans to open Spain’s first bondage hotel (inspired naturally by the book Fifty Shades of Grey) have been delayed following objections from locals.

Bit of a surprise this as Spain is very liberal when it comes to sex with brothels an everyday fixture on the motorways and prostitutes openly open for business on the side of the roads.

So what could have been the objection to Roissy Castle hotel, due to include 20 S&M-themed rooms and a dungeon, which was preparing to open last week in a village of 2,500 residents in Valencia, but was prevented from doing so after the mayor of “quiet” Vilafranca, complained.

It was located too close to the local church, which honours the village’s patron saint, and the owner apparently doesn’t have a license.

Errr if every business in Spain without a license was closed down it would be a pretty quiet country and I would have thought the church would have been one of their best customers!
