Dropbox iPhone app ‘almost here’

The makers of the file backup and synchronization service Dropbox have announced that their iPhone application is “almost here.” The software will let you access your Dropbox from the iPhone, view files, save them to your phone, and synchronize photos from your iPhone to your Dropbox.

Rumor: Next-gen iPods to sport video cameras

What could possibly knock the super-popular Flip Mino off its pedestal? Why, an Apple-made video camera, of course. According to rumors trickling in over the blogosphere, Apple may embed cameras similar to those found in the iPhone 3GS—therefore capable of capturing video—into its line-up of iPods.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) today announced iPhone-app versions of three classic HP calculators: the HP 12c, HP 12c Platinum, and HP 15C.

Missing Sync adds voicemail, memo support for iPhone

Missing Sync for iPhone 2.0 by Mark/Space was released a couple of months ago and added two-way wireless synching between the iPhone and your Mac or Windows based computer. The Mac client of the application allows you to synchronize notes, documents, and tasks and archive text messages and call history from your iPhone onto your Mac (and vice-versa wherever it applies).

Adobe releases Lightroom 2.4, Camera Raw 5.4 update

Find My iPhone has its first real world success story

In what is almost certainly the first incident of many to come, iPhone owner Kevin Miller was able to retrieve his lost and stolen iPhone from the hands of the thief using Apple’s new Find My iPhone feature. Announced during the WWDC ’09 keynote, the feature allows MobileMe customers to track their iPhone remotely via a Web interface and see its location displayed on a Google Map. It can also be used to display messages on the iPhone’s screen remotely, have the iPhone play a sound, and even remotely wipe its contents should all attempts to retrieve it prove futile.

Apple’s newest aluminum MacBook Pros are pretty slick in most regards, but some investigative folks had discovered what they believed to be a shortcoming in the models: in some units the SATA drive interface ran at a mere measly 1.5Gbps when even its predecessor, the non-Pro 13-inch MacBook, supported double that speed.

Dunkin’ Donuts releases ‘social’ iPhone app

Dunkin’ Donuts, the popular fast food chain famous for its coffee and baked goods, has released Dunkin’ Run, a free app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s designed to make it easier for Dunkin’ Donuts customers to make group orders — a social application, according to the press release.

AT&T squashes tethering surcharge rumors
