2009 iPhone models surface in Dutch T-Mobile systems

Seemingly confirming Apple’s basic iPhone product strategy for next week, T-Mobile Netherlands’ phone catalog is showing 16GB and 32GB iPhones for 2009 as well as a possible 8GB model.

Tracking MacWorld 2008

How will you be tracking MacWorld this year. In the past I have used Twitter, numerous iChat windows and the ‘old favorites’ of Engadget, TUAW etc. I was interested to read these new option:

Happy New Year. Hope you saved some money ready for MacWorld Expo? What do you reckon they will be tempting us with this year:

• 2nd Generation iPhone
• New Apple Cinema Displays
• Upgraded AppleTV

Personally I can never figure out what is a which list and what is informed analysis when reading all the predictions, and I am known to get things pretty spectacularly wrong most years.

Skype on the iPhone!

More a ‘proof of concept’ and certainly a very (very) complicated workaround but appears that using Skype on your iPhone (which it seems that 1 in 3 American’s want – the iPhone not Skype on the iPhone that is) is becoming more of a possibility:

It’s a bit more complicated than that, however.

iPhone Hacked Already

Not something I would normally post about, and not something I condone *grin* but it looks like the iPhone has been hacked already.

I have no idea what they are saying in the instructions so it isn’t exactly an easy Hack. The question I have is how long before already hacked iPhones turn up on eBay and how much you reckon they will go for?

A slip-up on Apple’s UK online store has revealed that a Mac Pro workstation with 8 cores of processing power is inching closer to a release.

An announcement today?

According to Mac Rumors we may see 4 new iPod Shuffles soon in different colours, or maybe just new software. AppleInsider go with the new iPod angle as well, but more an expansion of the RED range.

Apple Rumors on the other hand are going with new monitors with built in iSight, or a price drop. In addition they speculate about a release of Leapord to take the wind out of Vista. I can’t see that happening, but it would be pretty cool.

Cingular: We Made Apple Bend

Interesting in that it gives a pretty definite statement that there will be a whole range of iPhones coming out “in the near future”. I hope so, not least because I thought they would, but also this is looking like a very poor year for Apple purchases for me so far!

I SO hope not – if this does turn out to be genuine I wont be getting one for sure. I HATE a phone that doesn’t look like a phone! Ah well maybe I will be a little “richer” after next week than I thought. Time to look at the DSLR that I have been after maybe?

Another Apple Phone Rumor: Now Slightly More Plausible, But Not Really

Would this design work for you? I have moved from candy bar to flip over the years and I think in general I would much prefer a flip (clamshell) type design myself. Primarily because I tend to throw my phone in a bag, stick it in a pocket etc and I think it is protected better if it is a flip design.
