I wanted to draw your attention to these “presets” that Andie has produced and is giving away FREE!!!
brought 2 u by the letter a: Lightroom presets are done!!!!
If you use Lightroom trust me – they are great and well worth emailing Andie and asking for the free samples
What are presets? As an Aperture user, I’m not that familiar with LightRoom.
Basically a preset is a file that stores previous actions that you have done to a photograph.
So, if you have done 4 ‘things’ to a slightly fuzzy picture and made it look great you can save those ‘things’ in a preset file.
Lightroom has a list of Presets on the left hand column that you can click on when in Develop mode and it will automatically apply the 4 ‘things’ to that picture.
Ah, so like the “effects” in iPhoto.
Sort of – only way more detailed in that a prset saves the layer adjustments, curves, tone changes etc etc.
Take a look at the Photoshop post to see an example (although that was done in Photoshop not Lightroom) the concept is the same.
