Today we will remember sweet little Orla who we lost seven (7) years ago today. It is really hard to believe that it is that long as she remains so fresh in the memory. Poor thing never had a chance (we found out) having been born with a heart problem, but having brought her home by Sands to die with some dignity and love from a local rescue, we really thought she was going to be OK as she got stronger and simply loved playing with Moreno.
Short but (very) sweat was her time with us, but her memory is as strong today as ever and her life lives on in Oscar (in particular) and Fleur, Dusky, Kasper, and Sophie who we rescued and kept after her.
We have a collage on the wall in the hall so she is never far from us, but today she will be just that little bit closer.
