Poppy Love

What is it with FIFA and their ban on the FA displaying poppies on the England shirts in the forthcoming friendlies?

Actually scrub that. The real question is what is it with the FA for allowing to FIFA to dictate. At ‘best’ the FA should have informed FIFA of what they were going to do, not asked permission: after all football is a game played by men with balls (in both senses of the word) is it not!

Too late now having asked, but how about this for a suggestion: the team say they are going to play in black armbands, well why not embroider poppies into the black armbands!!!!
