Just watched The Sentinel and really wish I hadn’t bothered! I am not really surprised that I didn’t like it as I really find Michael Douglas irratating, but the film had some other ‘big’ names in it that I thought may carry him.
Basically it was a rubbish plot, with no character development, and pretty poorly acted. It just had the feel of ‘lets spin this out for the cash’ written all over it. Plot! An attempt to kill the prsident of the US – yawn, that is original eh!!!
Comparison with Line of Duty with Clint would flatter it – it was terrible.

I watched it a few months back and was not too impressed either. I vaguely recall Jack Bauer shouting too much. 🙂
Yep, and the small bird from Desperate Housewives looking totally out of place! Km Bassinger was good to be fair.
Thanks for the warning Chris. I suppose the same could be said of most Hollywood films. I was looking at a review of the latest releases yesterday, only one got a 4 star rating, the rest were 2 or below! Apparently The Golden Compass is a stinker especially.
Really I had heard good things about it!? Was looking forward to it – in about a year when it is on Sky 🙂
I heard a film review of it subsequent to my post, which said it is quite good. I guess it may come down to taste, or maybe lack thereof haha
I guess they aren’t so sure themselves as they haven’t decided on the 2nd and 3rd films yet I heard.
Either way they were great books!
Books? I’d never even heard of the books.
Yep The Northern Lights (called The Golden Compass in the US), The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass.
Really goood!
