Weird, would be the simplest way to describe Children of Men. Had never heard of it, and have no idea why we recorded it, but it was pretty powerful and interesting to say the least. Well worth watching.
Am pleased I watched it – all part of making more effort to watch (and read) things outside of my normal ‘comfort zone’ and to focus on stuff better i.e. just sat and watched the movie, no iPhone, poppng into Study etc.
Moreno didn’t like it much though. He was out on the balcony and when he heard all the crying at the end he got really sppoked!!!!!!!

Actually I recorded it as I had read that it was interesting. See … Chris brings me Macs and other technology and I bring him “interesting and powerful” movies and good books!
I’d not describe it as either ‘interesting’ or ‘powerful’ mrs Marshall.
The way I see it is that if Chris brings you all this Apple goodness and all he gets in return are films like this then you owe him ‘big time’.

Can’t complain as she also records things like The Prestige so I happily take the rough with the smooth. In the past I would just have stopped watching a film I didn’t like (although I liked this one enough) but now I have promised myself I will watch and read a greater variety.
No gadgets for me for at least 3 months maybe 6 as I am on a self imposed ban!

I woulkd recommend it yes, but it isn’t a light or fun movie at all.
