Or more accurately – no progress! At 217 lbs I have had a static week which is OK given that I haven’t really started running yet and had a pretty abnormal week on the home front, ate Chinese during the week, ate biscuits over the weekend, and have been eating too much bread.
On a positive note the weight and abs have gone well.
The bottom line though is that this is a really poor level of focus and commitment and I really do need to pick up the pace a lot!

Well done on the weight & abs! As for the running – at least you got out last week and anything is better than nothing!
I’ve missed running last 2 days as it’s been torrential rain in the evening and I have been so tired. Was in bed at 8pm last night. Think the routine of run @9-9.30 then work for 2-3 hours after that is catching up.
On a positive note i am hungry a large percentage of the time which must be good (he say hopefully!)
Must run tonight, rain or not!
Weight maintained at 207lbs after weekend.
Rained here today, and cold, and had headache, and work, and the current ‘personal project’ still not resolved ………
Let me think, any more feable, pathetic reasons as to why I didn’t run today 🙂
Got my (fat) arse out the door for a run!
Disaster yesterday! Went to set up AppleTV and two AE’s for friends. They loved them. So much the beer came out, then they rang Sands to invite her down for a meal and wine.
Was great evening but not what I needed right now!
No run yesterday, but did weights and stuff. Found out am going to Dubai on Sunday until the 31st so this months plan pretty much messed up 🙁
Will run today and tomorrow, then it will pretty much be damage limitation I think!
If it’s any consolation, I’ve had a crap week for exercise. Reports week at school so every evening I’ve had to sit down at 8pm and start writing reports, reading through my departments reports, writing reports on the reports and reporting on that!!!
Suffice to say that I’ve not been able to get any runs in. However, I’ve been very careful on the food so have managed to maintain 207lbs.
Hope you have a good trip!
Cheers.
I think this just proves that you have to take the long term view and not get put off by short term disruptions.
I am going to run now, but as I will be away for 10 days or so I think I will go into the marina tonight with Sands as I wont want to go out tomorrow night before flying.
Now if I wasn’t going away I would stay in tonight and eat a sald, but having a night out with my wife before I go away is more important – or so I have just been told!!!!!

Absolutely – seeing this as a war of attrition with my ‘one pack’. Slowly losing a little bit and when I can’t get in the runs I want eating carefully to maintain any positive work I’ve done.
Sands and my wife were obviously trained at the same ‘wife school’ – my parents have taken our daughter for the night so I’ve been informed I have to stay in and watch DVD’s/cook her nice food! (To be fair the morning sickness has kicked in big time so she deserves some pampering). Still, if she turns in early, maybe a quick run…..
