Podcasts For 2009

Due to a bit of a power surge on Christmas Eve I ended up with a corrupt iTunes Library!!! Pretty much all back to square one, just need to tag movies that are unwatched and resync with Apple TV, and re subscribe to podcasts.

Now that is the dilemma. At the moment it feels sort of liberated to have NO podcasts at all. So rather than just rush in and re subscribe to the original ones I am going to leave it blank for a while and take the opportunity to start afresh.

Any suggestions would be most welcome, feel like it would be good to have a change and get some new listening!!!

Wow, how long does that take you to listen to each week?

Thanks – are some new ones on the list that I can try out 🙂

I found that as well. The more podcasts I subscribed to the less music I listened to. I also found that I would agitated as the un-listened podcast count crept up, and I sort of went into ‘must listen’ mode and stopped enjoying them so much.

So 2009is all about ‘less is more’, ‘quantity not quality’ for me 🙂

Frankly, i dont really like to listen to music. When my podcasts pile up, i make more oppertunities to listen to them, but i never just listen to them for the sake of listening to them. When it gets to be too many, i read over the descriptions, and if i dont think i will get much out of it, i will delete it, rather than wasting my time on it.

Also, this is my Gold Standard of podcasts. I subscribe to about 90 total (no i dont have a problem… 🙂

Yikes, that is a lot to listen to. I went down from about 10 to 1. The only one is the Macreviecast. Mac Geek Gab I listen to occasionaly, because they do touch upon some interesting technical issues that are helpful. Everything else I found was repeating everything else. Some actually are nauseating with “love” of Apple. I agree with Chris…. quality over quantity.
