Three (3) years today Sands went and collected Marti from his foster home and brought him to the apartment in Spain to start his life with us ….. and Tobi!
I was on a pet transport at the time so missed the first hour of spitting, but after that they just bonded and have remained the best of friends.
Marti nearly never made it to us, as although we had decided to adopt him, we actually rescued Tobi a couple weeks earlier and so had pretty much decided that Marti would not come to us.
However, the initial reason for wanting Marti remained, we knew we were adopting Tito and we wanted a kitten of a similar age that was used to dogs. All our cats got on fine with the dogs, but we wanted a cat that loved dogs, and Marti was on his third foster home, and had pretty much only know dogs.
No exaggeration to say he has been a star. So glad we decided to give in to our guilt (we both felt bad that he had lost out because of Tobi). He adores Tobi and Tito, but to be fair he adores all the cats and dogs and anyone that he meets. He is unbelievably friendly and into everything.
