Hollie has been part of our family for two years now. I guess to be totally accurate we didn’t actually say we had adopted her when she came to live with us, but it was always going to be the case.
She had a slight set back with her paw following her operation, but she is very close to full recovery now. It seems to us that as her paw and leg got stronger post operation, it also got bigger and the skin that they had managed to stretch over the paw couldn’t take the strain. Think she cut it open on the beach and the pressure caused a bigger wound which we have just had to be patient with and let it heal naturally. She has no pain, uses it as normal, and as ever has been a superb patient.
She is an extremely loving and attentive old lady. She has become far more of a Daddy’s Girl in the last 6 months, and loves a morning cuddle on the bed with me.
Combination of being in UK (i.e. no animal had a set location/place) and not having a cone on has seen her blossom and most certainly make herself at home. Without doubt she is one of the gang with Tito and Tigra, both of whom have no issues with her at all. She enjoys a nose tap on a regular basis with Tigra and she loves to chase and run with Tito, who is amazing really the way she plays with her.
Possibly my favourite thing though is how much my mother loves her and how much Hollie enjoys her visits.
Two years have flown by, and it feels like linger so settled is she.
