Evernote Update: Summer…summer…summertime

Summertime is happy time. You throw something tasty on the grill, slip on your sandals, grab a frisbee, and sit down to make Evernote better. That’s what everyone does, right? We’ve had quite the busy July. In addition to updating almost every version of Evernote, we added a new premium feature, improved usability on the web, and started a translation program. Premium Feature: PDF Search
Most PDFs produced by scanners are simply images of a document. Our new premium feature makes those PDFs searchable. Evernote will run these PDFs through our updated recognition servers, allowing Premium subscribers to find them when they search. Read more: http://s.evernote.com/pdfsearch

AP Mobile for iPhone integration
The latest release of the very popular Associated Press application for iPhone lets you effortlessly clip AP articles into your Evernote account. Whenever you find a great article on the AP, you can clip it into Evernote on your iPhone and then read it from any other version of Evernote you use. Simple. Evernote Web improvements
In addition to the recently added notebook sharing feature, Evernote Web has gained some great new capabilities. Notes created on Evernote Web are automatically saved every minute. This means that if you accidentally close your browser, you won’t lose your work. Also, you can now change the sort order of your notebooks, as well as shared notebooks. Evernote Translation Program
We want to make Evernote available to more people in more places around the globe. We need your help to make this happen. Evernote is looking for volunteers to help translate part, or all, of Evernote into French, Italian, German, and Spanish. This is an experiment for us. If it works, many more languages will follow.
