I have resisted the whole Internet TV thing for years, primarily because I was happy with Sky and the solution we had in Spain, but mainly because it all seemed so fiddly to set up and unintuitive to use.
- I have sat at friends houses waiting for their ‘box’ to load up and then a series of mouse manipulations to get any number of applications open and hey presto …. a fragging picture just in time for the adverts!!!
I exaggerate, or rather I reminisce, as in recent years it seems to have got a lot better, but originally ….. well there was more chance of understanding the current Brexit negotiations.
And of course the market here in Spain was flooded with a host of over priced, perceived ‘dodgy’ options, trying to satisfy a market that wanted to pay sweet FA to watch their soaps and sport, oh and movies.
Anyway as we prepare for our move back to the UK I had a look round as we will no longer be in Spain 24/7 so I wanted a good quality, affordable, technology smart solution that we could bring over with us to Spain, but also use as a secondary option in the UK (I do not want to have old fashioned cables and wiring in the new property unless absolutely no other option).
Have to say the market still seems busy with multiple choices, some smacking of being on the ‘dodgy’ side, others appearing to be very professional and well supported.

As you can see they have a huge amount of channels (does anyone actually watch more than 9?), and rather impressively they have a Catch Up option and the ability to record Live TV. Add in Box Sets an intuitive and somewhat sexy UI and you have a very neat solution indeed.
The service seems to work on pretty much any platform you want, but what attracted me was that it works on the Amazon Firestick, one of the best devices ever! I love ours, yes ours ….. I have 5 in total …. so I was very keen to see how it worked, as I loved the idea that I could carry the Firestick between the UK and Spain and watch in either country.
Good news …. it works just fine. Set up is easy (although you can buy a Firestick ready installed) and the quality of the picture/service is more than acceptable, it is very good indeed.
At 15€ a month it is more than reasonable as well, and should you desire (i.e. we did) you can talk to them about a multi device account.
