I have a few things to finish off and then I am going off line until after Christmas. I have spent the morning listening repeatedy to The Killers Don’t Shoot Me Santa song, so that has got me thinking about my Top 5 Christmas songs.
Santa Clause is Coming to Town – The Boss. Check out a vintage video of Bruce perfoming this song better than anyone else ever has here
Don’t Shoot Me Santa – The Killers, totally addictive and another great video
Do They Know it’s Christmas – Band Aid, pretty much an anthem for my generation and another classic video
Merry Christmas Everyone – Slade, no Christmas party can ever not have this classic. Again check out the old school video
Fairytale of New York – The Pogues, gotta love this and god bless you Kirtsy!!!
You know the drill, let me know what you rate all time, and hopefully you will enjoy the above selection!
That’s it from me until after Christmas – see you all on the other side! Have a great one!!!!

Played guitar for the schools xmas concert and the choir finished it off with Merry Christmas Everybody and All I want for Christmas – very cheesy but with all the parents beaming proudly and the staff feeling relaxed it was Holidays made for a great atmosphere. Can’t beat a bit of cheese!!
However – you are spot on about The Boss – my personal favourite!
Cheesy is the very word I’d choose too. For me a good song has to have something to say, be it at christmas or not. Those cheesy records are not for me, so I’d go for:
The Pogues
John Lennon
Band Aid
George Michael (or was it Wham?)
In each of these songs while christmas is mentioned, it is not the subject, they are good songs and touching too.
I’ve never understood why anyone with ears could stand Noddy Holder’s voice 🙁
Wham Last Christmas I think you mean?
