Background
He was due to travel to Spain to live with the parents of his owners and had an overnight stay at my parents. My mother was ill so I stayed a couple of extra days, Charmin stayed on for much longer than that (with his owners permission) and became the perfect companion to my parents, especially as their health failed. My father died and my mother went into a home within four days of each other and he came to live with us.
