I suspect that for many the first decision to make when choosing a cricket helmet for batting will be brand, with the majority deciding between Masuri and Shrey This decision is most likely based on something subjective such as your favourite player, preferred brand image or brand awareness. Most likely this decision will have been made before you consider your price point (fact is both these brands have helmets for £50 to £200 so the reality is you are going to find a helmet within your price point with your preferred brand.
Once you do start looking into the options though it can become a little confusing and a tad fascinating and if nothing else will make you look at what the players are wearing a little closer – well it did with me hence the post summarising some of the options you may want to consider.
NB: Shrey don’t really have a brand model structure, well not that makes any obvious sense anyway, but I have summarised the way they identify then below
NB: Koroyd core providing more advanced impact protection
NB: Master Class 2.0 currently the lightest helmet on the market
NB: Armor their entry level helmet
NB: Steel or Titanium refers to the Grille

I have a Shrey Armor Steel which I use in the nets indoors.
Far smaller range and in a way easier choice. Of late I have noticed more England players wearing Shrey, often without a neck guard.
