Yesterday we have released version 2.0 public beta of all editions of DEVONthink as well as of DEVONnote, a milestone release for us that includes many new features brought in by our user community and that we want to share with you. Eric Böhnisch-Volkmann

The public betas do not require a valid license code until the final version 2.0 has been released in 2009 but can, of course, be purchased and licensed straight away. As an existing user of DEVONthink or DEVONnote there are a number of upgrades options available.

I’ve tested this over a day, and so far I’m impressed. I like the overall look, and the way it works, specially the updated web interface. I can actually browse through the entire database, instead of just being able to search through it. It would be nice to have the same browsing ability on the iphone/touch… so far I can only search through the db using my ipod touch. I still have to play a little more, to be able to convince myself that $50 upgrade is worth it. I’m getting closer and closer to that decision though.
Good feedback thanks. The iPhone app should be pretty cool 😉
I would love to see that. Especially if I can either sync the data over wi-fi or via mobileme.
Well you will just have to be patient. Bear in mind though the potential size of the d/base on your Mac compared to the space available on the iPhone!!!!
I do agree the potential size of a db full of PDF docs. So I’m not sure what would be a good solution…. maybe something like what evernote did on their iphone client. You mark the favorite docs, and only they get synched to the iphone? That might work?
That may work 😉 Am sure they have figured something out though.
