Should have been a double celebration today: Saidi’s 16th birthday and here 13th anniversary living with us.
Instead we only get to remember what a beautiful lady she was, superb mother to Moreno (well I exaggerate a little as they got on but it wasn’t a particular close relationship), but without doubt she was simply a brilliant cat with us.
It is a little over seven (7) months now since she died (3rd June 2020), and it still fells like yesterday and everyday I expect to see her on the dog bed in the bedroom, then jumping up on the bed for a fuss.
She had a great life and for her the end was quick and painless which is all you can ask for really, but a year or two more would have been most welcome – would have been interesting to see her with Dinky and the Donuts.
Miss her lots, but so so happy Sands brought her into our life, and that she gave us Moreno. RIP sweet lady, you remain loved and very much part of this family and we will celebrate this special day and think about you even more than usual.
