Two (2) years ago today Marti finally made it into our lives.
I say ‘finally’ because he was a bit of a on/off adoption: initially we decided to take him as he had only lived with dogs and we wanted a kitten to grow up with Tito, but then we rescued Tobi so we thought he would do that job. But then we felt guilty that Marti had lost out through no fault of his own, so we decided to adopt him as well.
And what a brilliant decision that was! Marti has been simply brilliant: he is joined at the hip with his best mate Tobi, but is great friends with Tito and has shown the other cats how soft and friendly the dogs are.
Considering he was the ‘last cat in’ he is certainly a dominant fella! An uncanny ability to know when anything is happening he never misses out AND like his mate Tito he just loves everybody and everything as us the first thing any visitors see when the door opens.
I would say enjoy your special day young man, but you squeeze so much joy out of every day I know you will have another great one, and we will watch on feeling so so happy that we capitulated!!! x
