Eighteen (18) years ago today I started working for Moreno aka Mori. It has been the most rewarding job I have ever had, and is the one I have done longer than any other.
He has trained me well, and I like to think I do a good job. I have learnt what his meows mean ….. OK he only has one but I have learnt what he means by the time of day: middle of the night (water from the bathroom tap and biscuits on the bed), early morning (biscuits – different ones – on the bed). He then has some mousse with his meds either under the bed, in the kitchen or in the garden.
Mid afternoon: Thrive treats and a walk in the garden
Early evening: water from a glass on the coffee table, some more mousse and a turn round the garden to do his business.
All this on top of access 24/7 to water fountains and dry biscuits.
He remains the boss, loved by all, especially Dinky who with Fleurs blessing is his regular companion, but he is comfortable with all the cats and they all adore and respect him.
He is thinner these day, has arthritis in his back legs and is a lot slower, but he is still very much “our Mori” and long may it continue.
I have no intentions of ever resigning from this job.
