I find it hard to believe that it is fifteen (15) years since Sands brought Orla home with her. Reality is she brought her home to die with some dignity and love, but the little girl rallied and managed a short time of normality with us, and in particular with Moreno, who as ever was brilliant!
Her time with is was far too short, but she had a great time, was loved and I can’t really explain the impact she had on our lives: we had assumed we would only have had Moreno and his mother Saidi (RIP) but because of how much Moreno loved her we went on to adopt the rest, so 4 dogs and 12 cats owe their lives with us to her – not a bad job for someone that was with us for such a short time.
