Happy Birthday Hollie

Today Hollie is eight (8) ….. we think!

To be honest we have no idea as not only does the rescue where we got her from have no records or knowledge of her past, the poor old lady has no front teeth so the vets can’t give an estimate of her age.

She is a bit of a bruiser, looks like she’s been round the block a few times so we picked an age mid range of those the vets estimated!

The important thing is she has her day: a day that we will focus on her.

Bless her she still isn’t 100%. The main injury to the paw has healed well, and we are now waiting for new skin to grow over the site of the wound. This is slow going, but we are getting there and she has been a tremendous patient.

She still has her cone on a lot of the time, but not when she is out walking and running (she loves the beach and tries her best to keep up with Tito & Tigra), or when she is on the sofa with us – which is more and more often these days as she has certainly figured out what she likes and is imposing herself more and more!

Her Kidneys have responded well to the diet and she is no longer in the ‘warning’ zone, and she has certainly got more energy although now we are starting the longer walks again post summer she is finding them pretty exhausting.
