What a great job!!! Just picked this up off Macworld UK
MI6 is searching for a Mac user to help the secret service in its work.
The UK spy agency is advertising for a Mac using artworker with QuarkXPress and Adobe CS3 skills to help the organisation create forged documents, currency and other publications.
The successful applicant will get a heavyweight inflation-proof civil service pension and also be fully trained as a spy, according to the MI6 recruitment website.
Full details of the job aren’t available, with MI6 telling potential recruits (who must be UK nationals): “We’re sure you’ll understand that as an organisation that collects secret intelligence, we can’t tell you a great deal about what you’ll be doing.â€?
Take a look at MI6’s online recruitment advert here.
Let me know if you intend to apply – is tempting isn’t it!!!!!

Not your ordinary 9- job, is it? But I think I’ll pass on it. I’ve seen some of Spooks and I don’t really fancy the life… 🙂
Now that is a great series!!!!
Think about the gadgets you would get to play with though 🙂
UK national….. hmmmm Canadians still “worship” the Queen, and we had her on our money as well…. I wonder if I can apply? I would have to change my name though……”my name is Sokulski, Mac Sokulski” this quote just does not sound right 🙂
I had been coming around that that line of thinking, rather than the Spooks setting. Double-oh-seven, licensed to point and click!
Scrub that – instead of 007, it would be 00VII…
I think at one point there was a famous Canadian agent… double O Zero.
How cool. I was all set up to work at the OSI once, a very long time ago. I had some pretty intensive electronic training while I was in the Air Force. The job would have entailed surveillance and, believe it or not, following the president around setting up the equipment he would need before he got there. (Though that’s not what is listed under their mission statement now, so who knows who is doing that these days?)
I decided to get married, and I guess that’s not really what they are looking for in a field agent. So, I never took them up on the offer to re-enlist and transfer to DC. Ah, the opportunities we pass up.
That is really cool!!!!!!
If I weren’t 15, I would be applying immediately, especially with my contacts. Shame about my age…
