Miglia Blog

The Miglia Blog has now gone live.

Miglia asked me some time ago if I would be prepared to work with them on developing, launching and maintaining their new blog. We discussed the various options and ways in which it could work, and it became obvious that with my background and their current position there was more I could offer than ‘just’ blogging.

As such in addition to working with them on the design and the launch of the new blog I am going to:

  • Manage the blog on a day to day basis to ensure that it isn’t a ‘in-house’ marketing tool, but a true reflection of what their customers feel
  • Set up and run a beta testing programme within their target market
  • Integrate the blog strategy with their marketing and PR strategy

This is very much a part time contract, based totally in Spain, but from time to time I may crop up in the UK or at various shows.

For now though it would be great if you could head over to the blog and take a look around. In particular check out the opportunity to become a beta tester. I am more than happy to hear from you on this site as to what you think, but it probably makes more sense if you can leave any comments on the Miglia blog so that they get to see what you think.

I am very impressed that they are prepared to take the step of setting up a blog and opening themselves up to their customers like this. As you would expect the current blog is Version 1.0 and Version 2.0 is already under way!

    Nice job, Chris.

Although – you need to get some more diversified content going as posts/reviews/links with your name attached are the most prominent things on the front page!

Also, I suggest changing Vaults to Archives, as most people won’t really twig. I do because I visit your blog, but most newcomers will be hunting for another word.

I keep getting this when I edit my comments:
Edit your Shout
WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1]
    SELECT comment_content, comment_author_IP, comment_date_gmt FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_ID =

You aren’t allowed to edit this comment, either because you didn’t write it or you passed the 30 minute time limit.
The edit seems to be posted OK though. Just a heads up.

Cheers – you are spot on about the content, that will change pretty quickly as we add new stuff, mine is really just a ‘filler’ to get things going.

Funny enough – they wanted Vaults over Archives, maybe revisit with them at some stage.

We had that error before and thought ot was fixed – will give them a kick again, cheers!

Explain. It works fine for me in Safari, has done for years. You mean the Migia blog? that has closed down now anyway.
