What Caught My Eye Last Week – 15/01

A number of things caught my eye last week. Although the week was certainly dominated by the iPhone, there where other things of interest (honest):

iTunes 7.1 and QuickTime 7.1.5 are reportedly due in the next 45 days for those wanting to purchase and use an AppleTV

It seems that Apple are throwing their weight around again both with their own staff and the blogging community. This seems pretty churlish to me as without either of these Macworld etc just wouldn’t have the hype and coverage. The community and rumours provide Apple with such great coverage I can’t see why they would want to change it?

Overall coverage is split between positive and negative which is encouraging as at least in indicates an intellectual debate rather than Apple Disciples. It seems appropriate to leave the last work on this to Woz.

I enjoyed this article from the BBC on connecting the digital home. This is something I am concentrating on almost daily (it seems) but I just don’t see it happening. Within one room, or even between a couple of rooms, but a whole house – that just seems a little out of reach at the moment.

And finally for this week in review I found these tips on been a curious photographer interesting and helpful.
