Product Review: Gray Nicolls Tempesta 1.0 300 Batting Gloves

A much debated topic within cricket and one which No Boundaries Cricket Club are seeking to help through their Cricket Kindness Project is the cost of playing cricket: specifically is it expensive because you need so much kit and equipment, or because the kit and equipment costs a lot.

I thought that I would get hold of some ‘entry level’ shoesglovespadsclothing and a bag to do a mini series of reviews to see just how expensive junior kit and equipment is and what you get for your money.

Having reviewed the items they will be donated to Church Eaton Cricket Club to be used by their juniors.

My Review

RRP £36.99 Available for £31.99

Obviously I can’t vouch for what these are like to wear (although I did ask Sands to slip them on and she confirmed they were very comfortable), but they look and feel great, and I think anyone wearing them would look and feel the part – a key factor in Whakapapa, and let’s be honest a major factor in getting children to wear anything!

I am a HUGE Gray-Nicolls fan and these gloves lived up to my expectation: looked great, lots of protection, superb build quality and a very reasonable price.

Great protection or the thumb and forefinger: trust me you want these digits protected!
I have always favoured the ‘sausage’ design and I love the colour scheme on this gloves. Very NBCC Blue!
Very soft, and the ventilation holes are a nice touch!

About The Review

Reviews will always identify whether the product has been bought for my own use, gifted for my own use, or sent for review. I will keep items I have bought or been gifted. Items sent for review once reviewed will be donated to No Boundaries Cricket Club.

Reviews will always be my personal, unbiased, opinion based on my experience of the product and my own abilities. The reality is that most of the time I will not warrant the quality of product being reviewed, but what can I say, I like “stuff” especially “good quality stuff” so that is all there is to say on the matter!!

Reviews will include the list price and where applicable the price paid, a link to the source of the product and the manufacturer and where available manufacturer published product information. If a manufacturer or seller has asked me to publish a special discount or offer I will make this clear.

If you have a question or opinion please leave it in the comments below and I will reply.

We will write a Featured Review for a donation of £25 to No Boundaries Cricket Club and this will be CLEARLY categorised as a Featured Post.
