Product Review: Kookaburra KC 3.0 Spike Junior Cricket Shoes

A much debated topic within cricket and one which No Boundaries Cricket Club are seeking to help through their Cricket Kindness Project is the cost of playing cricket: specifically is it expensive because you need so much kit and equipment, or because the kit and equipment costs a lot.

I thought that I would get hold of some ‘entry level’ shoes, gloves, pads, clothing and a bag to do a mini series of reviews to see just how expensive junior kit and equipment is and what you get for your money.

Having reviewed the items they will be donated to Church Eaton Cricket Club to be used by their juniors.

My Review

RRP: £45.99 Available for £38.99

Obviously I can’t vouch for what these are like to wear, but they look and feel great, and I think anyone wearing them would look and feel the part – a key factor in Whakapapa, and let’s be honest a major factor in getting children to wear anything!

At £39.99 they are good value, on the assumption that you get a full season out of them – a factor for parents to consider with growing children – and you can always donate them to a project like Cricket Kindness when they become too small!

They appear sturdy and I can’t see that they wouldn’t stand up to many a full season.

Good Value. Good Shoe. Good Buy.

They look great. Very modern and I really like the toe protection and extra padding on the sole at the back.
This is what a Premium Spike Outsole looks like. They will give you good grip I am sure.
They are light, sturdy and the breathing holes are a nice touch
