Product Review: Masuri T Line Thigh Guard

I have had a bit of a struggle with Thigh Guards, but opted not to change during the season.

The Gray-Nicolls All In One 360 Bating Thigh Guard was just too small although I did use it in the nets throughout the season. I will be using the Legend 360 next year so this becomes another item waiting for a Barlaston Junior to grow!

The Gray-Nicolls Legend 360 Thigh Guard was really good but I struggled with the fit as the waist band was far too large so the guard always felt like it was slipping down (I ended up stitching the waist band band to make it smaller and the right guard was too far towards the inner thigh for me.

Of course I should have bought the ELine version, but as it only comes in blue I couldn’t get my mind around that so went with the TLine one instead.

My Review

Possibly not the most interesting item to review but the key elements that I like (a lot) are:

  • Secure Fit
  • Flexible Fit re the Right Guard
  • Comfortable Fit and Moulding
  • Light and un-cumbersome
  • Does the job!

Manufacturers Product Description

This thigh pad combo is for all playing levels. Featuring a strong composite of EXTRA PRO FOAMS and comfort foams offering impressive impact absorption without impacting performance.

The Masuri thigh pad range is motivated by improving impact absorption and offering advanced slimline protection without impacting player movement or performance.

MRP: £45

I like the way the right thigh guard slides into your preferred position, but the straps (as with all Thigh Guards) make it a somewhat inelegant item to secure.
Good Protection and solid moulding.
