Refurbished MRF Cricket Bat

This is was originally a MRF Sachin Tandulkar bat that had been used by a good quality player who had retired the bat. It had a few normal wear and tear cracks (fact of life is that bats crack) and a few areas that needed a little repair work.

It is NOT a Virat Kholi bat, but they were the closest bat stickers I could get to the originals.

A well used high quality bat with normal signs of use and a little neglect.
Repaired and refurbished this is a very good looking bat with a lovely ping and a very light pick up for a heavy bat.
This crack had been taped not repaired and was minimal in terms of impact on the bat.
A small compression crack on the toe, which was only on the surface of the bat.
Pack it with glue and clamp is all that was needed repair wise.
Glued, clamped and sanded and pretty much good as new. No worse than a typical surface crack, and you can see how the compression crack sanded out nicely.
Really is a very nice piece of wood and sanded down really well.
Rear: a few signs of the old stickers but that is pretty much impossible to avoid.
Inside Edge
Outside Edge.

The bat has two grips, the original red one a a Pro White Bracelet Cricket Bat Grip, as I personally like two grips! I have added a scuff sheet and edging tape, not that I am a great fan on my own bats and if you want this removed I will do that, but as the bat will benefit from some light knocking on before use it is not a bad idea. I have knocked it in for around an hour to test for any dead spots (are none) and it sounds great, but I would advise an hour or so with a mallet and a gentle net session or two before use.
