About These Interviews

A significant attraction for me in blogging is the ‘community’ that it creates. I am never going to be ‘up there’ with the young bloggers – I am not going to be that attractive to your average teenage blog reader, I actually don’t want to be as I find a lot of the stuff that interests them remarkably shallow and insipid, and I am perfectly happy with the slightly more mature (mentally and/or physically) reader that I attract.

I have ‘met’ some great people through the blog, some I communicate with daily, others much less frequently, but collectively they add to the enjoyment and satisfaction I get from blogging.

This series of interviews is a way of you getting to know each other better, and hopefully attract more of you to participate in the blog. I know there are a lot more of you out there that read the site regularly but don’t comment. That is your right of course, but trust me there are a really great bunch of readers around that I am sure you would get on with.

If you want to be included in this series please just email me either with your answers to these 8 questions or with any questions you may have.

And finally, thanks to all the readers who have participated in this series, and thanks to all of you for reading. I will do a long post at the end of the series with all the interviews so you can catch up easily on any that you miss, or get a great overview of some of the common answers, and some of the wildly different answers!

    The new bluetooth keyboard is beautiful and lovely to use. I bought one two weeks ago. Even the unpacking was the full Apple experience :-). Andie, you’d better go and get one toute de suite if not, then you’ll regret not getting one earlier.

    Had a look at one of the keyboards in the Apple store today – beautiful design. I am considering a wireless one as it is so compact to carry around with the laptop and use across my classroom for demo purposes – even giving to the students with a wireless mouse to answer practical questions on the display screen.

    Sands has a new USB keyboard which is really very nice to use as well as look at. Personally I find it a little too ‘light’ in that I prefer something a little more robust, but I have no issue using it at all.

    @Dunks

    The wireless range is pretty good. If only Apple had a decent mouse to go with it. I wouldn’t mind betting that a nice aluminium one will be on it’s way before too long.

    I think you’d be impressed with the build quality of the Apple keyboard. Very solid. Of course the freedom afforded by bluetooth is a huge bonus. USB has it’s advantages but portability is not one of them. Hey it is only 49 quid, give it a whirl especially as you use an Apple tv, absolutely made for it, I was amazed how good it was with ‘Front Row’ on my powerbook

    Ah sorry, I didn’t realize that you already had the Apple wireless keyboard. I guess it was yet another thing of wonder which you owned until your better half had other ideas for it… You should be sneaky like me! Ha ha.
