Just been to collect Saidi’s ashes so she is home again. Her plaque is on the memorial wall alongside her old friends, her memorial photo is in the Summer House, a place she really enjoyed these last months, and her ashes and photo is sat alongside Orla, Sophie and Teo.
Has been a horrible week really as we adjusted to her sudden departure. While it was by far the best way to go for her it knocked us for six really …. she was perfectly normal in the morning, dead three hours later!
She was very good at letting you know where she was and that she expected a fuss, so walking into a room and not hearing her say hello has been the worse by far, followed by the ritual fuss first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
I will have to wait to get her tattoo updated, but my mate is ready and as soon as they open up again I will get that done.
RIP Saidi, miss you so much and will love and treasure you for ever.
