Karma is described by petition author Danna as a “young, healthy, sweet husky dog.” But after being removed from her owner’s custody after a domestic issue, animal care officers refused to release her because they said they had gotten reports that she was part wolf.

Since May 25, Karma has been in isolation with no access to run, take a walk or stretch her legs. Danna says Karma was raised in a home with four kids and other dogs, is friendly with other dogs and has never shown any indication that there is any reason to question her loyalty to humans.
Orange County Animal Control had a DNA test performed, and her percentage of wolf is 0.15. Studies have shown that almost any dog will have up to .09% wolf in their genetics. This slightly higher number for Karma is completely insignificant and could be the result for many other types of dogs.
Karma’s owners have appealed her death sentence but they need our support. Please add your name to the petition calling for Karma’s release to her owners or a rescue immediately!

Is karma still alive? I signed 2 weeks ago.
the way dogs are kept on death row in most countries is criminal. Karma is not a wolf nor does she have wolf blood. She should have been released monts ago. Imagine what this does to a dog or other animal…being kept in a small cage for months… The kennel where she is being kept has a very bad reputation.
