In anticipation of the August 26 release of TextExpander touch for the iPhone, SmileOnMyMac today released TextExpander 2.7. The update makes it possible to share snippet groups between TextExpander on a Mac and TextExpander touch. TextExpander 2.7 also fixes occasional stalling under Snow Leopard. SmileOnMyMac is offering a limited-time 50% discount on TextExpander to promote the release of the iPhone app.
San Francisco, CA – In anticipation of the release of TextExpander touch for the iPhone, SmileOnMyMac today released TextExpander 2.7, an update to its customizable typing shortcut tool for Mac OS X. The update makes it possible to share snippet groups between a Mac and an iPhone or iPod touch, when TextExpander touch is installed on the device. TextExpander 2.7 also fixes occasional stalling under Snow Leopard
TextExpander touch will be available August 26 on the App Store.

I’ll second the usefulness of TextExpander – though I’m not so sure I’d find any use for it on my iPod Touch. Maybe if I had the iPhone itself…
