The Ultimate Just Got Better

A while back I wrote about ‘the ultimate bag for your laptop and other gadgets‘, the LEvertigo Prune that I have been using with the MacBook. What I have loved most about is is the way it has doubled up as a computer bag and a general purpose bag. Remember that I like to carry a ‘man bag’ with me, so on trips to Dubai I have been replacing my Man Bag with the LEvertigo Prune, and when necessary slipping the MacBook in as well.

Well unfortunatley the LEvertigo Prune isn’t big enough for the 17″ MacBook Pro, although it will accomodate the 15.4″ model, so I have handed the LEvertigo Prune down to Sands along with the MacBook and have picked up the LEvertigo 17 Graphite.

My only pre purchase concern was that it would end up being too big to double up as a all purpose bag, but that is not the case. It is perfect. I am slightly relieved to have got rid of the prune colour (although I did like it) and the graphite colour combination is more practical:

There is one significant difference between the two bags though. The LEvertigo Prune has a rather plush velvet like interior that is very nice indeed, but it does make the compartments a little inflexible to more bulkier items (MB charger) and big hands trying to find lose change at the bottom of the bag. The LEvertigo 17 Graphite has a stretchy fabric that expands much better and is therefore more practical. I prefer the look of the LEvertigo Prune, but the practicality of the LEvertigo 17 Graphite.

So there you have it – a great bag. The ultimate has just got better!
